I am not immediately sure what you mean by sources. I think paedocommunion is very normal to scripture, and is not something that NEEDS extrabiblical sourcing for proof, however, I DO FIND it helpful that there is both ancient and modern commentary on it.
If you look in the Early Church Fathers set, in the Augustine volumes, he mentions the practice in passing, as a given and as assumed truths that he uses to prove other points. Regardless of how well you agree with Augustine, you can see in Augustine and in Cyprian and others, the fact that infant communion was normative in the early church.
It was also normative in the Old Testament in scripture (Passover/Peace Offerings).
There is a lot of good information and there are many good articles at Paedocommunion.com.
Tim Gallant of Paedocommunion.com wrote a helpful book called “Feed My Lambs.”
Greg Strawbridge, Pastor of All Saints Presbyterian (CREC) in Lancaster, PA wrote a book entitled “The Case for Covenant Communion.”
Paedocommunion was even part of the Hussite reforms attempted in the pre-reformation attempts to return medieval Christianity to historic practice.
I hope this has been helpful, and I would love to address the question more directly. Please write more if you need to.
Do you have Any information on your sources though?
